Abayomi Oladejo is a civil engineering scholar and industry professional passionate about improving the built environment through research, mentorship, and education. He’s currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder, where his work centers on construction safety, management,  and engineering solutions that make a positive impact in communities.

With more than 10 years of experience in engineering, project management, and teaching, 'Yomi has led infrastructure and sustainability projects, supported civil engineering programs, and mentored many aspiring engineers. Before moving to Colorado, he worked across the public and private sectors, managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering projects.

He joined the ASCE in 2025 and currently serves as Chair of the ASCE Colorado Student Affairs Committee, where he aims to collaborate with student chapters to support leadership, encourage technical growth, and help the next generation of engineers thrive in both school and the profession.
